Tigers get homecoming win over Hornets
After competing against several higher-classifi cation teams in the first half of the season, the Fayetteville Tigers notched a 34-14 homecoming victory over Huntland on Friday night. The win evens the Tigers’ region record to 1-1.
Just horsing around at the fair

County Commission approves public hearings for 3 rezoning requests
The Lincoln County Commission unanimously approved to hold public hearings on three parcels prior to its Oct. 20 regular monthly meeting.
Scammers pose as law enforcement
Scammers are at it again. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reports that scammers, posing as jail lieutenants, sergeants or corrections officers, are contacting relatives of individuals who have been booked into the local jail asking them for money.

Tennessee man dies in head-on collision on Ardmore Highway
ATennessee man died following a collision on Ardmore Highway, according to a preliminary report prepared by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). The official crash report is pending investigation, according to Sgt. Bradley Smith, THP public information officer for the Lawrenceburg office, District 7.
