DON COUNTS Correspondent I nside the Warrior Exhibit in Fayetteville, memories live on, etched not only in displays and artifacts, but in the voices of those who remember. On this day, those voices belonged to two sisters, Linda Williams and Brenda Roles, who came to share the story of their brother, Marine Corporal Bobby Williams Jr., a young man whose life was cut short in Vietnam, but whose impact continues to echo through generations.

Canning College to be held 3 days in June

U T TSU Extension Lincoln County Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) is offering the basics of canning classes from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on June 11, 16 and 23. Participants will learn research-based canning methods for preserving food.

Old friends are best

Protecting your hearing

H earing loss is often seen as an inevitable part of aging. However, data from the National Institutes of Health indicate that one in two people over the age of 85 has hearing loss, which suggests half of all individuals in that age bracket do not have this issue. That should be encouraging to individuals concerned by the prospect of losing their hearing in their golden years.
