The library is inviting community members to submit tributes to veterans and service members who hold a special place in their hearts. The submissions will create a meaningful Memorial Day display that reflects remembrance and appreciation across Lincoln County, said Meghan Murr, library director.

25 years ago May 2, 2001 Landscaping underway - A handful of Leadership Lincoln Class of 2001 gather at the grounds of the Kelly Pittenger Senior Citizens Center to plant flowers and a variety of plants. The landscaping was one of two efforts the group took on as a project this year. The other is seeing the groundwork is laid for the establishment of a child advocacy center, called Junior’s House, here. Helping in the landscaping efforts are David Smith, Mike Green, Mike Russell, Robert Conley, Jean Combs and Martha Lyon.
