Heart of RCA Benefit Dinner & Auction set for April 25
Riverside Christian Academy invites the public to join in a night of fun for their annual RCA Benefit Dinner & Auction to be held at the school on April 25 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
Sponsors needed for 4-H Clays for the Clover event
More than 15,680 youth from across the state participate in the Tennessee 4-H sports program. Of those, 20 earned the right to participate in a oncein- a-lifetime opportunity by competing at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championship in Grand Island, Nebraska. The youth will represent the Volunteer state in disciplines such as air rifle, recurve archery, compound archery, shotgun and smallbore rifle. The combined cost for Tennessee 4-H’ers to attend this event is approximately $40,000.

25 years ago April 4, 2001 Fishing tourney held - The Lincoln County Sportsman’s Club held its March Fishing Tournament recently on Guntersville Lake. Bobby Harmon and Lucas Hamlin won with a weight of more than 30 pounds. Second place went to John Teters and Jack Atchley Sr. with a weight of 18.6.

Rep. Pat Marsh honors Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration champion
The Tennessee House of Representatives this week presented a resolution honoring Justified Honors, the first Tennessee Walking Horse in history to win the World Grand Championship four times at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration in Shelbyville.

Ben Brown indicted by Lincoln County grand jury
Benjamin “Ben” Aaron Brown was indicted on Tuesday, March 24, by the Lincoln County grand jury, according to District Attorney Rob Carter with the 17th Judicial District in Tennessee.
