Falcon Baseball sweeps Shelbyville

Lincoln County baseball added to their win total last week. The Falcons claimed a road win at Hazel Green and a home win over Franklin County.

The week started at top 10 ranked Christ Presbyterian Academy. Despite a grand slam from Colton Tate in the seventh inning, Lincoln County fell short on the road, 6-8.

The Falcons rebounded the next traveling south of the state line. Lincoln County went to Hazel Green and left with an 8-5 victory.

Then the Falcons came home and faced boarding rival Franklin County. Sophomore Carson Haney stole the show with a pair of homeruns and initiating a highlight reel double play as Lincoln County went on to win, 9-2.

The Falcons get a much-needed lighter week as the district tournament nears. Lincoln County has a district series with Warren County and a home game against Tullahoma.
