Free 2025 Tax Preparation and E-filing
Free Tax Preparation and E-filing of 2025 tax returns is available by Volunteer Income Tax Preparation (VITA) volunteers for anyone whose income for 2025 is generally less than $67,000. Volunteers are available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through April 15 at West End Baptist Church, 200 Morgan Ave. North. No appointment is necessary.
Leadership Lincoln applications open
The Class of 2026-27 Leadership Lincoln application process is open through Aug. 5, 2026. Participants gain expanded knowledge of the community, develop relationships and acquire skills to assume a more active and effective role in addressing community needs. April 17 LCHS STEAM Night
Lincoln County High School (LCHS) is hosting STEAM Night “From Imagination to Innovation” from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. This free community event is open to k-12 students, families, homeschool groups and community members. Local businesses, industries, technical programs and community organizations are invited to participate. Tables and space will be provided at no cost. Reserve space by April 1. LC Amateur Radio at STEAM Night
The Lincoln County Amateur Radio Association will have an on-air demonstration from a working station at the LCHS STEAM event.
FFA Greenhouse Plant Sale
Lincoln County Future Farmers of America (FFA) Greenhouse Plant Sale will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17 and from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 18 behind Lincoln County High School, 1233 Huntsville Highway.
April 18 12th Annual Slawburger Chase 5k
The 12th Annual Slawburger Chase 5K will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Lincoln County High School’s cross country course. The event is for all fitness levels from seasoned distance runners to walkers. Proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit Always Endure. Slawburger Festival
Fayetteville Main Street is hosting the family-friendly annual Slawburger Festival in downtown Fayetteville from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The Slawburger Eating Competition begins at 1:30 p.m. with both youth and adult divisions. Country Ham Breakfast
A Country Ham Breakfast will be held from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Andrew Jackson Lodge #68, located on the corner of Shelbyville Highway and Thornton Taylor Parkway. Takeout orders are available. Voodoo Customs annual car, truck, bike show
Voodoo Customs is hosting its third annual spring car, truck, bikes and kids show at Lincoln County High School, 1223 Huntsville Hwy. Elk Valley Crafters and a swap meet with free set up is part of the event. Food truck vendors will be onsite. Entry fee for the car show is $20 and $5 for kids. Registration is from 9 a.m. until noon; awards and 50/50 give away is at 1:30 p.m. Voodoo Customs is a nonprofit helping those in need. April 23 Scams Stop Here Presentation
Fayetteville Senior Citizens Center will hold a Scams Stop Here presentation with the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs. The center is located at 908 Washington Street West, Fayetteville.
April 24 LCHS alumni basketball game

April 25 Annual Heart of RCA Benefit & Auction
The Annual Riverside Christian Academy (RCA) Benefit Dinner & Auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $40 for adults, $30 for a child or student and $275 for a table of eight reservation. Spring Fling Crafter’s Market
The Spring Fling Crafters Market will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, 1003 Hedgemont Avenue. The event includes crafters, food trucks and onsite entertainment.
Benefit Car, Truck and Bike Show
A Car, Truck and Bike Show will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Don Davidson Park, 1701 Wilson Parkway. Food trucks and other vendors will be onsite. Entry fee is $20. Funds raised go to local veterans and Clothe Our Kids.
Our Town Fair
Petersburg’s Our Town Fair will be held from noon until 4 p.m. at Morgan Park, 120 East Side Square. Activities include a flea market, a Juntique roadshow, art sale, plant sale, book sale and cruise in. Additionally, Petersburg Lions Club will be conducting vision screening for children at the fair.
April 26 Faith Ringers Spring Handbell Concert
The Faith Ringer’s Spring Handbell Concert begins at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Tim Smith is pastor of the church located at 1015 Lewisburg Highway.

Church of Christ at Wells Hill Gospel Meeting
A Gospel meeting featuring speaker Rusty Hills, will be held at the Church of Christ at Wells Hill from April 26 through April 29. Stan Hovis is the song leader. The church is located at 18 Old Huntsville Road.
May 8 Senior Center Fundraiser
The Fayetteville-Lincoln County (FLC) Senior Center is holding a BBQ Sandwich Fundraiser and Bake Sale from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The plate includes a BBQ sandwich, drink, chips and a cookie. Tickets are $10 each and the meal can be eaten in or picked up in a drive through. Baked goods will be available to purchase. The FLC Senior Center is located at 908 West Washington Street.
May 9 LCHA Stock Horse Show

May 15 Veterans & Community Town Hall
The community is invited to a Veterans & Community Town Hall beginning at 6 p.m. to be held at Lincoln County Department of Education (NGA) Auditorium. The key topic will be transportation challenges for veterans to the VA for medical appointments in Nashville, Murfreesboro and Columbia. The open forum is also for the public to learn how veterans support the community and recognize businesses that support veterans. The Lincoln County Department of Education is located at 909 Main Avenue South.
May 16 Vanntown Fire Rescue Annual Homecoming
Vanntown Volunteer Fire Rescue’s Annual Homecoming begins at 9 a.m. Local bands will be playing throughout the day along with a live auction of donated items. They will also have pit BBQ and chicken for sale. Bouncy houses will be onsite for the kids. The Vanntown Volunteer Fire Department is located at 320 Vanntown Road, Flintville.
Mondays Petersburg Senior Center Chair Yoga
Petersburg Senior Citizens Center, 68 Morgan Circle, offers chair yoga classes from 10:30 until 11 a.m. The center is open from 9 a.m. until noon Mondays through Fridays. Bingo games are from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Call 931536-5568 to register to play bingo.
Ladies Free Exercise Classes

FLC Senior Center offers activities, including pool, corn hole, cards, ping pong and board games, for those 55 and over from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Special activity days and classes are offered throughout the month. Bingo is every Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Tuesdays Free Bingo at American Legion VFW
The American Legion Post 42/VFW, 2007 Wilson Parkway, has bingo the second and fourth Tuesdays for all ages. The kitchen opens at 5 p.m.; bingo kicks off at 6 p.m.; dessert is served at 7 p.m. Kids are also welcome. Proceeds help support local veterans, flags, maintaining the crosses and the community.
Free clothing
The Old Time Christian Outreach Center, 1992 Pulaski Highway (Hwy. 64 West), provides free clothing to families in need. The center is open Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. for clothing or monetary donations. For more information call 931-205-7878.
