Fayetteville softball took a heartbreaking home loss against district rival Moore County. The Lady Tigers were defeated, 8-11.

Both teams exchanged blows early, with Moore County leading 3-2 after three innings. Then came the bottom of the fifth where City scored five runs to take advantage, 7-4.

The game fell apart in the seventh inning where Moore County would make their comeback. The Raiders took advantage of four errors to score six runs and win 11-8.

Fayetteville will look to rebound with a busy week ahead. The Lady Tigers are set to host Sante Fe followed by two road games.
