Lady Falcon Softball rips through district competition

Lincoln County softball went 3-0 at home last week.

The Lady Falcons claimed a win over Ardmore, Shelbyville and Coffee County.

The week started with a 3-0 shutout of Ardmore. Pitching Brenna Edwards went the full distance with 10 strikeouts and allowing only three hits.

The following night was Lincoln County’s senior night, celebrating Hana Corder and Mattie Graham. The Lady Falcons gave their seniors a 10-2 victory over Shelbyville, scoring seven runs in the fifth and sixth innings combined.

The highlight of the week was a 11-0 run rule victory over Coffee County in five innings. Lincoln County scored nine runs in the first two innings, thanks in large part to four homeruns.

The schedule slows down this week for the Lady Falcons. They’ll host Lawrence County and then go on the road for a district matchup with Warren County.
