Howard Kim “Moe”
Moorehead, a loving husband, father and pawpaw, age 65, of Lee’s Creek, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Lincoln Medical Center. He was born on March 24, 1961, In Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Howard Junior and Linda Fay Markham Moorehead. He had a big, kind, and generous heart, and he loved his family, grandbabies, friends, and community in his own special way. He never met a stranger and rarely left anyone without a laugh. He was of the Baptist faith and he worked at Copperweld for 37 years and TNT Construction. He enjoyed collecting interesting things, old cars, trucks, motorcycles, raising cows, and braving it out bushhogging on his tractor on the farm at Lee’s Creek. It was there he grew up, working alongside his father, a tobacco farmer, and where he spent his entire life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Junior and Linda Fay Markham Moorehead.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Moorehead; mother-in-law, Maggie Barnett; daugh-y/ ters, Shanna (Johnny) McKinney and Amanda Moorehead; sons, Justin (Jenny) Moorehead and Coty (Bryleah) McConnell; grandchildren, Colten McKinney, Jaidence Taylor, Daylen Moorehead, Jamie Moorehead, Cheyenne McKinney, Wiley Moorehead; June McConnell, Jordy McConnell and Jaye McConnell; sister, Lana Kay (Joe) Hurt; sistersin- law, Christy (Chris) Land and Kimberly Ditty; nieces, Bristol Land and Ashley Hurt; nephews, Blaine Thomason, Dakota Harris and Austin (Ashley) Hurt; close friends, Chuck Nichols and Mike Minor; and a host of cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Jimmy Jean officiating. Burial followed in Wright’s Cemetery.
