Lacy C. Gregory Jr. Obituary
Lacy C. Gregory Jr. was born July 9, 1938, to Lacy Sr. and Edith Gregory in Nemours, West Virginia. He worked for 34 years at Caterpillar in Joliet, Illinois, before retiring. He loved woodworking and was known in the Frankewing and McBurg area as the Turtle Man, as he loved hunting and eating turtle with anyone who would join him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory is preceded in death by his son, Chuck Gregory; brothers, Jack and Norman; and sisters, Pauline and Edith.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife of 34 years, Phyllis Gregory; son, Larry Gregory (Jan) of Seattle, Washington; son, Fred (Jackie) of Crystal River, Florida; daughter, Trish (Don) of Frankewing, Tennessee; son, Randy (Angie) of Streator, Illinois, and son, Dan (Jill) of Miramar Beach, Florida; brother, Tom (Glenda) Gregory, of Hixson, Tennessee; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great -grandchildren and many close friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date with Bro. Tim Scott and Bro. Don Pierson officiating. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Lacy C. Gregory Jr.
