Terri Lynn Rogers is seeking re-election as a District 2 commissioner.
Rogers, born in 1964 to Martha and Donnie Adams, grew up in the Delina community and attended local county schools. Rogers said although she doesn’t currently live
in Delina, she loves it and continues to support any function the community has. She said she moved to Petersburg in 1986 and has been as great a supporter for her adopted community as the one she grew up in.
She said she has always worked hard in whatever job she chose, from factory work to pest control. In 2011, she said she started her own pest control business, operating in Lincoln and surrounding counties.
Rogers said she also plays hard. She said she loves her horses and has ridden them on trail rides throughout Tennessee. She particularly loves to ride on benefit rides, just “to help in any way I can.” Rogers has been called a giving person. She said she will do anything she can to help those in need. She supports children’s activities and offers her services to anyone who asks.
Rogers said her faith has gotten her through personal trials and she is willing to share that faith with anyone she meets. She never meets a stranger and said she loves to get to know all those she comes in contact with. She likes to know about events happening in her county.
She said since becoming a county commissioner for District 2 in 2022, she has worked hard to talk to as many of “her people” as she can in order to learn of their concerns for Lincoln County.
She said she is proudest of her family. She has two daughters and two granddaughters. She said they are her shining glory and the lights of her life. She said anything that can make Lincoln County a place that people want to live in will also make a good future for her family and all families of Lincoln County citizens.
