Joint investigation leads to 3 arrests following drug-related death in Lincoln County
Three people have been arrested following a investigation into a drug-related death in Lincoln County.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff Tull Malone, on April 14, 2026, a deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop involving three occupants.
“During the stop, one passenger admitted to ingesting an illegal narcotic,” Malone said. “The individual was transported to a hospital in Fayetteville, where he later died.”
Malone said the deceased man has been identified as 3l -year-old Jeffery Dawayne Roberts of Lincoln County.
“An active investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Roberts’ death is ongoing,” Malone said. “As part of this effort, authorities are working to identify, the source of the illegal narcotics involved. The investigation has since extended into Franklin County and is being conducted jointly by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.”
According to Malone, on April 15, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., deputies from both agencies executed a search warrant at a residence located at 101 Hickory Drive in Huntland, Tennessee.
Malone said during the search, investigators seized the following items:
• Approximately one ounce of a substance believed to be methamphetamine;
• Approximately two ounces of a substance believed to be marijuana;
• Three rifles;
• Two shotguns;
• One pistol; and
• Drug paraphernalia. Malone said as a result of the investigation, three individuals were arrested at the residence.
Andrew Riley Archer has been charged with manufacturing, delivery, or sale of a schedule II controlled substance; manufacturing delivery, or sale of a Schedule VI controlled substance; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of drug paraphernalia; and maintaining a dwelling for drug purposes, according to Malone.
Gordon Daniel Prock has been charged with manufacturing, delivery or sale of a schedule II controlled substance; unlawful possession of a firearm; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, according to Malone.
Jason Taylor Foster has been charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Malone.
“The investigation into Mr. Roberts’ death remains ongoing,” Malone said. “Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.”
