From Reality TV to Real-Life Rescue: MasterChef finalist hosts gourmet benefit dinner for Humane Society
Staff reports
The Humane Society of Lincoln County is inviting the community to an unforgettable evening of fine dining, compassion, and community connection at its upcoming Master Chef Benefit Dinner on Saturday, May 30.
The evening will feature a carefully crafted four-course gourmet dining experience prepared by Kimberly Karver, a Top 10 finalist from Season 14 of MasterChef. Guests will enjoy an elegant meal preceded by appetizers, with wine available for purchase by the glass or bottle for attendees 21 and older. Tea and water will also be available throughout the evening.
Tickets are $85 each, with seating times available at 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. All proceeds from the event will directly benefi t the Humane Society of Lincoln County and its mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for animals in need throughout the community.
What makes this event even more special is the story behind the partnership.
After relocating from California to Tennessee, Karver was unexpectedly faced with a heartbreaking situation when puppies were dumped on her farm shortly after her arrival. Wanting to help, she connected with the Humane Society of Lincoln County — and what began as an unfortunate circumstance quickly turned into a meaningful friendship rooted in compassion, service, and a shared love for animals.
That connection has now grown into a powerful collaboration that organizers say perfectly reflects the spirit of the event.
“It’s such a cool thing when fate brings like-minded people with hearts for animals together,” organizers shared. “Beautiful things happen.”
Guests attending the dinner can expect more than just incredible food. The evening is designed to be an experience — one that combines gourmet cuisine with purpose, generosity, and the opportunity to make a real impact for homeless and vulnerable animals in Lincoln County.
The Humane Society of Lincoln County operates through donations, volunteers, fosters, and community support, receiving no city or county funding. Fundraisers like this help provide veterinary care, food, supplies, rescue efforts, and lifesaving programs for animals across the area.
Community members are encouraged to reserve tickets early, as seating is limited.
“We can’t do this without your support,” organizers said. “You don’t have to do everything, but if everyone will do something, together we can change everything.”
