Phillip Ray Davis Obituary

Phillip Ray Davis, 61, beloved dad, son, brother, uncle, Grampy, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend was called home on March 28, 2025. He was born on Nov. 28, 1963, to Ray and Judy Brock Davis and spent his entire life in Hazel Green, Alabama. Phillip was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. He attended New Sharon School and Hazel Green High School where he graduated in 1982.  He cherished his memories spent in the “Skillet” as a proud Wildcat and his high school days hanging out with his friends.

Phillip was kindhearted and was always willing to help anyone he thought might be in need. Phillip always opened his heart and home to everyone and would give the shirt off his back. His love for working on bikes started at 5 years old; by his teens he had moved on to farm equipment and vehicles, then progressed on to Harley’s. Phillip was his happiest while riding his Harley, working on bikes, spending time with his boys and family and while riding and hanging out with his friends.

Phillip is remembered with love and survived by his sons, Cody (LeeAnne) Moyers of Hazel Green and Brock (Lacey) Davis of Huntsville; parents, Ray and Judy Davis of Hazel Green; sisters, Lisa (Tony) Sanders of Ardmore and Maria Davis of Hazel Green; his lifelong soulmate, Janice Hayes; grandchildren, Waylon, Natalie, Nolan, Piper Moyers and Millie and Ida Davis; nephew, Milan; and nieces, Natasha, Kayla, Malayne and Erika; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service, officiated by Bro. Ben May, was held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Hazel Green Funeral Home.
