Hildred ‘Boot’ Faye Jones, 75, of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born June 26, 1949, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, daughter of the late John Thomas Dangerfield and Jessie Mae Hill Dangerfield.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ollie Jones; her first son, who was stillborn; and her brothers, Charles, John Henry, Bobby and William “Dub”.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons, Christopher Carter (Candice) and Lamont Carter (Valorie); grandsons, Tyler Shinn, Joseph Carter, McKane Carter, Joshua Carter, Malachi Carter, and Samuel Carter; granddaughters, Breana Carter, Jasmine Buchanan, Deja Carter, and Madison Dominguez; great-grandchildren, Anylah Ford, Graysen Starkweather, Rose’ Alonso, Karina Cox, and Kensley “Moochie” McMinn; sister-in-law:, Bobbie Jean (Charles); devoted family friends, Alma High, Kevin and Nacole Hardin, Faye Young and a host of family and friends..

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Minister Lamont Carter officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant View Cemetery.
