Mary Ellen Metcalf, 90, of Kelso, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Donalson Care Center.

She was born on Oct. 9, 1932, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Holman and Susie Tucker Crabtree. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Metcalf; daughters, Betty Taylor and Beverly Metcalf; son, Ronnie Metcalf; grandchildren, Jeremy Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor; sisters, Glendale Hopkins and Virginia Kent; and brother, Burt Crabtree.

She is survived by her daughter, Tania Storey of Kelso, Tennessee; sons, Dale (Barbara) Metcalf and Anthony Metcalf, all of Fayetteville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jessica Taylor, Kenneth Storey Jr., Christopher Metcalf, Anthony Metcalf II, Shana Hill, Heather Mathis, Shantel Taylor, Joshua Moore, Tasha Moore, Chelsea Storey, Lucas Metcalf and Riley Metcalf; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Moore and Pastor Carol Harville officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
