Billy Joe Ogle, 84, of the Vannntown community, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1938, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, son of the late Carl Willis Ogle and Mamie Rosieanna Farmer Ogle. Mr. Ogle was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a dairy farmer, a cattleman and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He loved to support his children and he enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play ball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helena Caroline Dixon Ogle, affectionately known as Nanny; sister, Marie (Howard) Shepard; brothers, Martis Ray Ogle and Dannie Ogle; and great-grandson, Malaki Dixon Ogle.

Mr. Ogle is survived by his sons, Timmy W. (Jane) Ogle of Flintville, Tennessee, Barry L. (Dianne) Ogle of Buford, Georgia and Chris A. (Stephanie) Ogle of Tullahoma, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jesse (Morgan) Ogle, Vince (Allison) Ogle, Nick Ogle, Trevor Ogle, Landon Ogle, Lindsey Ogle, Lauren (Kyle) Collins and Matt Ogle; 10 great-grandchildren, Colt Ogle, Braylon Ogle, Charlotte Ogle, Channing Ogle, Asa Ogle, Mila Ogle, Piper Ogle, Kenzi Ogle, Hudson Ogle and Lexi Collins; sisters: Ann Ogle Bonin and Carol (Mike) Cantrell; brothers: Jerrell Ogle, Donny (Kathy) Ogle, Harold (Sarah) Ogle, David (Sherry) Ogle and Fred (Dale) Ogle.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Milton Martin and the Rev. Jeremy Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from noon until time of service Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
