Lincoln County Amateur Radio Association meets

The LC Amateur Radio Association business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at the EMA Building, 1615 Wilson Pkwy, Fayetteville. The program will be planning for the annual Field Day activity in June at the EMA. Meetings can also be attended virtually. Lincoln County Memorial Day Service

The Lincoln County Memorial Day Service begins at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Central Academy Auditorium, 900 Main Avenue South. The public is invited to honor and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Music in the Park

Midnight Jane will open this year’s Music in the Park, held at 6:30 p.m. the last Thursday of the month through August at Stone Bridge Park. The series is sponsored by the Fayetteville- Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food trucks will be onsite. Master Chef benefit dinner

A Master Chef Dinner benefitting the animals of the Humane Society of Lincoln County will be held at the Gleghorn Hospitality House, 315 College Street East. Master Chef Kimberly Karver will be preparing a culinary experience for two seatings at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Cost is $85 per guest. Petersburg American Legion Post 155 Fish Fry

Petersburg American Legion Post Annual 155 Fish Fry will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. rain or shine at Morgan Park Pavilion. Walk-ups are welcome. Plates are $15 each. This event is a fundraiser to help veterans and others in the community, while raising awareness of the American Legion. Morgan Park Pavilion is located near the Dollar General Store at Highway 431, Petersburg.

Tennessee Kids Summer Challenge

Tennessee Kids Summer Challenge is open to all rising kindergartners through rising sixth graders from June 1- Aug. 1. First Lady Marie Lee invites Tennessee students to devote a portion of their summer break to serving the community through the summer challenge. Participants must complete a service activity from at least two of the eight service categories and a minimum of service hours to complete the challenge. Top challenge participants will be invited to join the Gov. Bill and Marie Lee for a carnival at the Tennessee residence in September. SCHRA meetings

The South Central Human Resource Agency will hold its budget, audit, appropriations, property personnel and 1303 committees meeting at 10 a.m. with the governing board meeting at 11 a.m. at the SCHRA Central Office, 1437 Winchester Highway.

Petersburg Parks and Recreation Fun and Fireworks

Petersburg Parks and Recreation’s Fun and Fireworks and a beginner’s paint class will begin at 2 p.m. at the Petersburg Community Center, 509 Railroad Street. The event is a fundraiser for the Recreation Center.

CPH presents I Hear America Singing

Carriage House Players presents “I Hear America Singing” at 7 p.m. June 18, 19 and 20 at the Fayetteville- Lincoln County Museum & Civic Center, 521 Main Avenue South, Fayetteville. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for students. Call 931-433-1300 for reservations.

Petersburg 12th Annual Truck and Tractor Pull

Petersburg’s Lion Club’s 12th Annual Truck and Tractor Pull begins at 7 p.m. at the Lions facility, 3000 Free Silver Road, Petersburg. Classes for beginner competitors to those with specialized machines will be included in the competition. Admission for parking is $10.

Motlow Robot Boot Camp

A free Robot Boot Camp for students 15 to 19 years of age will be held at Motlow campus from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on June 22 through June 24 and June 29 through July 1. Students will learn to program, work with Yaskawa industrial robots and receive a nine-hour certifi cate of completion. Camp Blount Open House

An Open House will be held at the Greer Cabin at Camp Blount from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. as part of the America’s 250th Celebration. Joseph Greer is Lincoln County’s connection to the Revolutionary War. His cabin was rebuilt on the grounds of Camp Blount, located at 1371 Huntsville Highway.

Stars and Stripes Celebration

A Stars and Stripes Celebration will be held at the Stone Bridge Park from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Fayetteville- Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting food truck and vendor applications.
