Lady Falcon Softball completes sweep of district

Lincoln County softball finished their regular season last week. The Lady Falcons went 4-0 to make for a 30-win season.

The week started on the road with a 13-5 victory over Ardmore. The game was tied 5-5 after five innings, then Lincoln County uncorked eight runs in the final two innings.

The next night was a doubleheader at home to complete district play against Cookeville. The Lady Falcons had no trouble whatsoever, winning game one, 12-0,and game two, 27-0.

The week wrapped up at Giles County with a 10-0 shutout. Kya Edwards worked with efficiency in the circle, needing just 56 pitches to dispose of the Bobcats.

Lincoln County enters the district tournament 30-5-2 overall and an unblemished 8-0 in the district. The Lady Falcons have home field advantage for the entirety of the tournament.
