Jimmy Steelman

May 3, 1939 – April 2, 2026 Visitation was held for Mr. Jimmy Naith Steelman, 86, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, on Tuesday, April 7 at Lynchburg Funeral Home. A graveside service followed at Lincoln Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Mr. Steelman was born on May 3, 1939, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Naith Alexander

and Josie Pearl

Goosby Steelman.

He is survived by his stepchildren, Kay (Jimmy) Daniel of Fayetteville; Jimmy Norris of Palm Coast, Florida; and Tim (Diana) Norris of Shelbyville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zack (Ashley) Daniel, Lindsay (Parker) Richardson, Courtney (Derek) Englett, Justin Norris, Will Norris, James Norris, Grace Norris, and Wylder (Katelyn) Norris. He was lovingly known and cherished by his 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Mansfield Steelman; his sisters, Brenda Barnes, Rachel Steelman, Betty Johnson, and Martha Roland; and his brothers, Billy Bert Steelman and Marvin Marshall Steelman.

Mr. Steelman proudly served in the Army for six years before joining and eventually retiring from the Arsenal. He later joined his sister Rachel in the catering business. Jimmy found great joy in giving back to his community, serving for many years as a driver for Lincoln County Transportation and delivering Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Park City Baptist Church.

He will be remembered for his acts of service, his steady presence, and his love for family and community.
