Lincoln County Tennis rewrites record book

Lincoln County’s Zaki Lin serves in doubles action with partner William Thomas during the Falcons’ home match against Marshall County. The Falcons secured a 4-3 victory. Earlier in the week, LCHS picked up wins over Franklin County and Warren County, both by 5-2 scores. This week, the Falcons host Lawrence County on Monday, Fayetteville High School on Tuesday (girls only), travel to Shelbyville on Thursday, and host Summertown (Boys Senior Night) on Friday. Lincoln County tennis had a successful first full week of April. Both teams earned wins over Warren County, Franklin County and Marshall County.

The week was highlighted by a tight Thursday night contest with Marshall County, which saw the Lady Falcons win 5-2 and the Falcons 4-3.

In the process, junior Chloe Gibson claimed all three wins records in Lady Falcon history. She’s now the all-time career leader for wins in singles, doubles and overall.

Another busy week is on tap as the district tournaments approach. Lincoln County has four matches this week, three to be played at home.
