Spur Spanldn’ Invitational & Crawfish Boil is Saturday at Fairgrounds

Get ready for a day of hunting, heritage and helping others as the annual Spur Spankin’ Invitational & Crawfish Boil returns to Lincoln County on Saturday, April 11 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, 1003 Hedgemont Avenue in Fayetteville. Event organizers Sara« aim to ^bring together outdoor enthusiasts and families for a day of food, competition and conservation. General admission is free to the public and every pinch of crawfish supports a great cause.
Originally founded in 2022 as a small gathering at the shop on Big B Ranch, the event has rapidly expanded into a large community festival with more than 1,000 friends and neighbors coming together each spring.
This year’s Invitational features a high-stakes turkey hunting tournament, a massive public crawfish boil, live music, and activities for all ages, including bounce houses and local vendor booths.
“This event is about more than just hunting and good food,” said organizer Blane Tankersley. “It’s about coming together as a community to support the next generation and the land we love.”
The event proudly supports two major initiatives:
• Hunt of Hope: Providing all-expenses- paid outdoor adventures for children facing terminal illnesses or disabilities.
• Turkeys for Tomorrow: Advancing trapping and habitat management efforts to ensure the future of wild turkey populations in small-town communities.
