Annette Hawthorne Stevenson, 88, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at Donalson Care Center.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Annette was born July 26, 1934, in South Newport, Georgia, to the late Howell O’Neal and Annie McIntosh Hawthorne. She sold Stanley Home Products for a time, but her true joy was being a homemaker and caring for her family. Annette was an excellent cook, and she was very adept at cooking for a crowd. She also enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and she had a wonderful sense of humor and was a big fan of Ray Stevens. Annette was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years.

Survivors include her children, Harry (Pat) Stevenson, Celia Stevenson (Mike) Bradley, Keith Stevenson (Sharon Miller), Lori (Paul) Finch, Lisa Winsett, and Linda (Jeff) Bryant; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her church family, special friends, and neighbors. In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Houston Stevenson; and brothers, Jimmy Hawthorne, Robert Hawthorne, Marion Hawthorne; and son-in-law, Keith Winsett.
