Deborah Kay Tallent, 68, of Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at home.

She was born March 23, 1955.

She loved her animals and family. She was a registered nurse for Lincoln Medical Hospital. She attended Fairview Fellowship in Fayetteville. She owned Kay’s Flower Shop for 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Marie Carter Evans; father, Alton Eugene Evans; and brothers, Rickey Eugene Evans and Michael Wayne Evans.

She is survived by her sister, Brenda (Tony) Blankenship; son, James Kurt Sanders; daughters, Bonnie Kay Randolph and Christina Marie Wells; seven grandchildren, Riley, Ragan and River Sanders, Haley and Hunter Randolph and Blake and Austin Wells; and four great-grandchildren.
