Charles Alfred Thompson, 64, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Unity Cemetery with Bro. James Shelton officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Chuck was born on May 25, 1959, in Orange County, California, to the late Thomas Newton and Vivian Sizer Thompson. He joined the Marine Corp at age 17, earning his GED and faithfully serving his nation for eight years. Mr. Thompson also earned his associate degree from Motlow and was of the Baptist faith. Chuck was a founding member of the Fayetteville Marine Corps League.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kathy Bryant Thompson; daughters, Kristen and Amy; six grandchildren; niece, Andrea (David) McNab; and nephews, Justin Banning, and Tommy Banning. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Thompson Banning.
