William Howard Clevenger Jr. 64, of Elora, Tennessee, left this life Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Mitchell Gardner officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery.

William Howard Clevenger Jr. was born June 15, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois.

He was discharged from the US Army at the rank of sergeant. Afterwards he made Elora, Tennessee, his hometown. He was married to Julie Brewer for 41 years. They have a son, Christopher William Clevenger (Bridget) and two beautiful grandchildren, Caden and Kylie. William was an active Papa to his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his grandson play hockey and tee-ball, spoiling Kylie, and going to many Huntsville Havoc hockey games with them.

He was a loyal employee at Eagle Snacks/ Frito Lay for many years before finally retiring in July 2020. He enjoyed woodworking and yard work. “Jr” was a faithful brother to his siblings who adored him.

William is preceded in death by his father, William Clevenger Sr.  He is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Christopher (Bridget); grandchildren, Caden and Kylie of Madison, Alabama; mother, Nancy Clevenger of Elora, Tennessee; siblings, Patricia Kelley of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Cynthia Boles (John, deceased) of Flintville, Tennessee, Paulasue Wilkerson (Terry) of Owasso, Oklahoma, JoAnne Clevenger of Gadsden, Alabama, and Walter Clevenger Sr. (Susie) of Kelso, Tennessee; two nieces and two nephews, six great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews.

There are not enough words to describe how much he will be missed by his family and friends.
