David Neill Eaton Jr., a beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024.  He was 63 years old.

He was born Dec. 4, 1960, to Joyce and David Eaton of Corpus Christi, Texas. He worked in the oil drilling industry for many years. He then moved to Fayetteville to be near his sister, Brenda Taylor, and that is where he met his wife of 34 years, JoAnn Eaton.

He loved camping, kayaking and riding horses. He was an avid reader and loved science fiction. He was jokester and loved talking to everyone. He loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Eaton, who had lived in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Eaton of Taft, Tennessee; his sisters, Ann Grobe of Port Lavaca, Texas, Brenda Taylor of Fayetteville, Jan Jones of Corpus Christi, Texas; and brother, Shannon Eaton of Fort Worth, Texas.

He has four daughters, Shawna Hitchcock, Shelly Tanner, Shanon Dekouski and Jill Smith; and two sons, Richard Enos and David Eaton III.

He has several nieces and nephews, 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
