Michael Dennis Smith of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed from this life on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee at the age of 74. He is the son of the late Fred Timmons and June Rogers Smith.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth and Ricky Smith; and sister  Fredna Smith.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Fairview Fellowship Church, located at 1 Hughey Road in Fayetteville, Tennessee, with Bro. James Shelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Activities Department at Lynchburg Nursing Center located at 40 Nursing Home Road in Lynchburg, Tennessee 37352 or you may call them at 931-759-6000.

Michael enjoyed home improvement projects, and anything NASCAR. He was very active and enjoyed life. He was a knife collector and loved his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Bishop Smith of Fayetteville, Tennessee; daughter, Christy (Tim) Weir of Fayetteville, Tennessee; grandson, Ryan Weir of Fayetteville, Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
