Holly Leigh Roggensack Obituary

In loving memory of Holly Leigh Roggensack.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our free spirit and wildflower, Hollie Leigh Roggensack, on July 28, 2024, at age 28.

Born in Berlin, Vermont, Hollie was sweet from the start — chubby, bald, and always running on “Hollie time.” At five, we moved to Fayetteville, Tennessee, where she embraced her role as a “southern belle.” Her journey took her through North Carolina with Aunt Tanya and Uncle Loren, and their boys, Brandon, Blaine, and Blake; then to Vermont, where she lived with our good friend, Valerie Lamonda; and later back to Tennessee, where she met Daryl Beaman and gave birth to identical twin boys, Josie and Sidney. Josie passed in utero — a grief Hollie carried deeply. Sidney remained with her mother and Manrique (“Bapi”) when Hollie moved back to Vermont for a fresh start.

Hollie had a light that filled every room. Endlessly curious and impossibly charismatic, she earned nicknames like “Fingers McGee” and “Geenze.” She never met a stranger. Her energy drew people in, and her love for helping others guided her work — from bartending and waitressing to assisting at an optometrist’s office and caring for her Grandma Roggensack.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Josie; grandfather, Richard Grobove; and grandfather, Lamar Roggensack. She is survived by her cherished son, Sidney; mother, Marcene Grobove (Manrique Montes); brothers, Steven (Samantha) and Brian (Kayla) Roggensack; grandmother, Darlene (Robert) Thomas; grandmother, Jean Tanberg-Grobove (Richard); extended family; and her foster mom, Amanda. Following Hollie’s passing, heartbreak continued with the losses of Grandma Mary Rose Roggensack in January 2025; her boyfriend, Jeff Sullender in February; and father, David Roggensack in May.

Special thanks to Marie Pratt and Courtney Avery for traveling more than 1,200 miles to bring Hollie home to her mommy and Sidney. She now rests beside Josie, where love surrounds her.

Her laughter and radiant energy will forever live on in the hearts she touched.

Te amo con todo mi corazón y mi alma, por siempre lo juro.
