Letters to the Editor

Thank you to the Night of Hope Ball donors

Dear Editor,

Now that the 2026 Relay for Life Night of Hope Ball is a wrap, the organizational committee would like to thank the following sponsors, companies, and individuals that donated items this year. Without the generosity of those attending this annual event, the sponsors, and those donating auction items, we would not be able to donate almost $10,000 this year to the Lincoln County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. The money raised will be used to assist individuals and families in Lincoln County with their needs during one of the most difficult times in their lives; dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and everything that comes with that. Thank you just doesn’t seem adequate.

The following is a list of companies and individuals who helped enormously in the success of the 2026 Ball: Bank of Lincoln County, Lincoln Medical Group/Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Colonial Golf Course, 2 Hicks With Sticks, Jean’s Lawn & Garden, Ms. Mary Bobo’s Restaurant, Jack Daniels, Sabghis Jewelers, Cakes by Carla, Clay Dyer, Fayetteville Parks & Recreation, Generations, Louise McAbee, Tom Barnes, Patrick Wellness Center, Nick’s Restaurant, Kidville, Southern Sun, Shear Frenzy Salon, Escapology, Trader Joe’s, Straight to Ale, Cathi Gorham, Marilynn Newman, Natural Balance Day Spa, Mathis Flooring, Medina Finn, Elk River Trading, H & R Agri Power, Crafting with Gully, McGee Lawn Care, Leigh Ann Wilson, Nashville Predators, Mike and Valerie Greene, Lisa Ritter, Farmhouse at Two Trees, First National Bank, Ivy Wreath, Be Thou My Vision, Trash Pandas, Top Golf, Leslie Alsbrook, Main Event, Mellow Mushroom, Let’s Play, Ninja Kidz, Altitudes, Stars & Strikes, Dave & Busters, Joe Massey (Auctioneer), Teresa and Tracy Simmons (2 Hicks with Sticks — catering), Chris Sanders (DJ), Lisa Akins (Sacred Stone Event Center), Redstone Federal Credit Union, Locals Company and Holt Enterprises.
