Ann Crumrine Bankston Obituary
Funeral services for Ann Crumrine Bankston, 77, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, were held on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell and Bro. Jason Caldwell officiating. Burial took place on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at Macedonia Cemetery.
Ann was born on Aug. 13, 1948, to the late Robert Crumrine and Edith Shelton Crumrine Mitchell. A native of Hazel Green, Alabama, she later made her home in Lincoln County, Tennessee, where she faithfully served as a County Commissioner for multiple terms and was actively involved on numerous community boards.
Ann was known for her love of fast cars and fancy clothes, as well as her entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operating several businesses throughout her adult life. She was a devoted member of Park City Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family.
Above all, Ann adored her grandchildren with her whole heart and treasured every moment spent with them. She passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.
Survivors include her son, Boo (Christine) Bankston; granddaughter, Julie Bankston; grandson, Carter Bankston; sister, Margie (Wallace) Dorning; brother, Joe (Joyce) Brown; niece, Angie Seymour; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob “Pop” Bankston; stepfather, JB Mitchell; and her sister, Bobbie (Wayne) Ikard.
