Lillian Louise Simpson Obituary
Lillian Louise Simpson, 94, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Donalson Care Center. She was born on July 6, 1931, in Petersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Rufus and Wilma Louise Twitty Simpson. Mrs. Simpson devoted twenty-five years of service to the Lincoln County Health Department and was a member of Highland Independent Church. A proud member of the Civitans Club, she poured her love into sewing, cooking, and caring for others. In her retirement, nothing meant more to her than the time she shared with her family, who were truly the joy of her life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Nelson Simpson and brother-in-law, Jerry Dunivan.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Barbara) Simpson of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Mike (Beverly) Simpson of Union Grove, Alabama; grandchildren, Teresa (Josh) Eakin, Carrie (Jeremy) Stokes, and Megan (Scott) Cooley; great-grandchildren, Julie, Bekah, Ella, Ethan, Tessa Kate, and Graham; sister, Frances Dunivan of Petersburg, Tennessee; and sisters-in-law, Jean Harsh of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Kitty (Jimmy) Davis of Arab, Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Wednesday morning.
