Harold Sikes Phillips Obituary

Harold Sikes Phillips, 92, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center in Ardmore, Tennessee. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Feb. 17, 1933, to the late Bonnie and Clara Elizabeth Rhoden Phillips. He was the owner of Phillips Heating and Cooling and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Towry Phillips; sisters, Geraldine Askins and Louise Bryant; and brothers, Jack Phillips and Buddy “Hershel” Phillips.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann McBay; grandchild, Regina McBay Phillips (Justin); sister-in-law, Linda Phillips; step-grandchildren, DeeDee Owens and Dion McBay; numerous step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Phillips; 

and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Elk River Heath and Nursing Center in Ardmore, Tennessee, for their loving care.

A private graveside service was held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Kyle Phillips officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
