Rebecca Ann Patterson Obituary
Rebecca Ann Patterson, 77, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at Donalson Care Center. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Oct. 11, 1947, to the late Charles Edwin and Virginia Washburn Fowler. Ms. Patterson retired from the Lincoln Health System, where she dedicated many years of caring service to her community. Even after retirement, she continued her love of helping others by working at Walmart, where she made lasting friendships and brought smiles to those she met.
A true animal lover, she adopted and cared for many animals throughout her life, each one becoming a cherished member of her family. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life — especially in tending to her flower bed. If you were ever looking for her, chances are you’d find her outside with her hands in the dirt, planting flowers and bringing beauty to the world around her. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her love for them was unwavering, and her presence in their lives will be deeply missed but forever remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and love — a life well-lived and a heart well-loved.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Alice Faye Fowler; granddaughters, Tonya Patterson and Tanya Patterson; and great granddaughter, Amzy Spray.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Steve) Spray; sons, David Patterson and Ricky (Sissy) Patterson; grandchildren, Heather (Lawson) Milstead, Jeremy (Katie) Spray, Brandi Patterson, Casey (Travis) Melvin, Andrew Patterson and Tiffani Patterson; great-grandchildren, Hunter Stallings, Neamhya Buchanan, Jaillen Ewing, Cayson Spray, Ensley Melvin, Walt Melvin, Able Patterson, J.L. Milstead, Grayson Patterson and Derrick Patterson; and brother, Charles (Joyce) Fowler.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell and Bro. Jason Caldwell officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery.
Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Rebecca Ann Patterson.
