Bobby Wayne Hicks, 81, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Elk River Health and Rehab. He was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, on Jan. 6, 1944, to the late Claude Hicks Sr. and Martha Warren Ashby (Leroy). He was a retired tile setter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Iva Hill Hicks; and brothers, Ronnie Ashby and Jackie Ashby.

Survivors include his daughters, Lereca (Tony) Swinford, Lorie Hicks and Christy Painter; grandchildren, Courtney Barnes, Quinn Lindsey, Kelsi Painter, DeWayna (Phil) Shelton, Kirsten (Brad) Lowe, Destiny (Ryan) Hughes; great-grandchildren, Kenlee Parks, Bentlee Cannon, Avery Shelton, Karson Barnes, Carter Lindsey, Chandler Lowe, Trenton Lowe and Cohen Owens Lindsey; sisters, Frances Rollins, Shirley Kennedy, Sandra (Ronnie) Baker, Sheila Manley and Deonna Ashby; and brothers, Claude Hicks Jr., David Ashby and Ricky (Debbie) Ashby.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Visitation is from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday.
