Jerry Randall Whitehead Sr., 73, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on Nov. 2. 1951, to the late Marion Andrew and Gladys Marie McElyea Whitehead. Jerry was a worker for the U.S. Census Bureau during the 2020 Census. He was an Alabama fan and a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Morris and Brenda Whitehead and one brother, Eddie Joe Whitehead.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Whitehead; one daughter, Nickie (Kelly) Fanning; two sons, Randy (Melissa) Whitehead and Andrew Whitehead; four grandsons, Max (Becky) Fanning, Jesse (Katie) Fanning, Brison Whitehead and Braylin Whitehead; one granddaughter, Madlyn Whitehead; two great-grandsons, Theo Fanning and Owen Fanning; and two sisters, Judy MacMullen and Phyllis Whitehead.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 12, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Keith Morris officiating. Burial with military honors followed in Moore Memorial Cemetery.
