Genia Laverne Smartt Worley, 57, of Mulberry, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Lincoln Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on March 5, 1968, to the late Marshall Aaron and Opal Lee Ivy Newgent. Mrs. Worley was a housewife and was a member of Victory Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Scott Smartt; and brothers, Troy Newgent and Jeff Newgent.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Worley; daughter, Whitney Opal Smartt (Wade Allen); sons, Jason Smartt (Amber Scott) and Daniel (Chelsea) Smartt; step-son, Ricky Worley; grandchildren, Eli Smartt, Ryan Smartt, Cloi Smartt, Braylon Smartt, Brantley West, Gannon West, Raylan Allen, Trevor Worley, Dalton Worley, Makayla Worley, Anniston Worley, Everleigh Worley and Jaxon Worley; and sisters, Derein Smith and Angel Hanak.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Mayo officiating. Burial followed in Moore Cemetery.
