Wysenita Rena Talley Obituary
Wysenita Rena Talley, 59, also known as “Nita,” passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2025. She was the third child born to Levoyd and Mary Faye Talley in Fayetteville, Tennessee, on July 15, 1965. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Levoyd Talley Jr.
Nita professed Christ at an early age and later became an active member of Caldwell United Methodist Church. She graduated from Central High School in 1983. She then worked various jobs at restaurants, babysitting and even as a meat packer at Bigham Hams for many years until she was no longer able to do so. Later in life, Nita formed a partnership with Larry Davis until his untimely passing in 2016.
Nita enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, making people laugh with her silly sense of humor, listening to her favorite song “Return of the Mack,” spoiling her grandkids, enjoying her plants, and speaking her truth. Even though Nita loved us, God loved her best.
Nita leaves, to cherish her memories, her daughter, Takema Talley (Tommy Oden) of Petersburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Vontaey Dashawn Oden, Kamari Rena Oden and Kamiya Ruth Oden; sister, Tarita (Karen) Hayes; brother, Charles (Elizabeth) Talley and a host of nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant–Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Cynthia Talley officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Wysenita Rena “Nita” Talley.
