Elton David Quick, 86, of Taft, Tennessee, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Madison County, Alabama, on March 11, 1938, to the late Horace and Leoma Mason Quick. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Gertrude Quick; two sisters, Sarah Parvin and Della Esslinger and one brother, Lurlon Quick.

Mr. Quick is survived by two daughters, Lesa Barnett of Taft and Rhonda Quick Morrow of Taft; one son, Mark (Kerry) Quick of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Scott (Janie) Barnett, Kelley Woodard, Megan (Joe) Spurlock, Keke Quick, and Zoey Quick; three great-grandchildren, James Barnett, Emma Barnett and Elizabeth Barnett; one sister, Freda Quick of New Market, Alabama, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant – Riverview Funeral Home with Sister Jenell Tucker and Kelley Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
