Alphus Cooper Murdock, 87, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on April 27, 1937, son of the late Alphus Elbert and Dora Isabelle Chapman Murdock. Alf was a veteran of the United States Army, a retiree of Thiokol, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Renfroe, and brother, Ray Murdock.

Mr. Murdock is survived by his wife, Vera Murdock; son, Patrick Murdock; grandchildren, Melana Murdock and Miranda Murdock; brother, Lynn (Harriett) Murdock; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Lon Ostryzcki officiating. Burial followed in Britton Cemetery.
