Fred Laymon Holder Jr., 76, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on July 13, 1948, son of the late Fred L. Holder Sr. and Eva Odell Self Holder. After graduating from Flintville High School in 1966, where he was actively involved in the William Carey Baptist Association Youth Ministry, Mr. Holder went on to further his education at Heritage Bible College, graduating in 1993. He received his license to preach Gospel Ministry in 1985 and served as youth minister for several churches. In addition to his ministry, Mr. Holder was also a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating H&H Home Improvement. He was a dedicated husband, father, and Poppa.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy (James) Burrows, and nephew, Michael Burrows.

Mr. Holder is survived by his wife: Peggy Ruth Beddingfield Holder; sons: Bret (Tracy) Holder and Bart (Lisa) Holder; grandchildren: Brittani Holder, John Holder and Ben Holder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kirkland Baptist Church Youth Fund, 655 Ardmore Hwy, Taft, TN 38488.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. David Miller and Bro. Jeremy Hudgins officiating. Burial followed in Lincoln Cemetery.
