Annie Maud Simmons Obituary

Annie Maud Simmons, 90, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Aug. 26, 1934, daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Scroggins Arnold. She was a former employee of Serbin and a member of the Smithland Community Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Zolon Simmons; sisters: Loma Bryant and Hazel Kennemer; brothers, Roy Arnold, W.C. Arnold, Billy Arnold and Larry Arnold; and grandson, Chris ‘Roscoe’ Brannon.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her daughters, Zoann (Charles) Brannon and Teri (Randall) Gray; grandchildren, LaShae (Stuart) Casey and Chasity (Dwight) Gardner; great-grandchildren, Casey Towery, Cameron Brannon, Christopher Brannon, Caden Brannon, Carter Casey, Colby Casey, Hunter Gray and Gracelyn Gray; special friend, Letha Bennett; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery.
