J. W. Vickery, 94, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, formerly of Florence, Alabama, passed away at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville.  He was a welder and a member of Liberty Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at Greenview Funeral Home in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Greenview Memorial Park with Tim Rice officiating.

J. W. was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Elam Vickery; parents, Tom and Lula Vickery, and many loving brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Swing Vickery; daughter, Rita Vickery Wilson; grandchildren, Paul Farley Wilson (Natalie) and Stacy Wilson Gilmore (Shane); nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
