Ray Kenneth Shull Obituary

Ray Kenneth Shull, 79, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, passed away on May 31, 2024.

Ray was born on June 18, 1944, to the late William Shull and Lurlean Hall Shull in Petersburg, Tennessee. After Ray graduated from West End High School in 1962, he went on to study architectural engineering at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed additional studies concentrating in the design of medical facilities at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He founded Kenneth Construction Company in 1980. In 1982, he established his own architectural firm, Shull & Associates, Inc., with offices in Detroit, Pontiac and Flint, Michigan. He had many achievements in the field of architecture and community service.

He leaves to cherish a son, Nolan Shull of Michigan; a sister, Lucille Shull of Arizona; a brother Jerry (Calinda) Shull of Fayetteville, Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tennessee, with Elder Dezi R. Fletcher Sr. of West End Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiating.

Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tennessee, was in charge of arrangements.
