Philip Ross Gault Obituary

Philip Ross Gault, 83, of Petersburg, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg, Tennessee

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery.

Philip was born on May 15, 1940, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Albert Gault and Mabel Bates Gault. Philip was a graduate of Petersburg High School and served in the US Army. He attended the Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a very active member of the Petersburg Lions Club. Mr. Gault enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He worked for EATON and was a lifelong farmer.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Peggy Pickle Gault; daughters, Pam (Richard) Thornton, and Melissa Simmons; grandchildren, Dustin Thornton, Destiny (Garrett) Jones, Olivia (Logan) McNeill, and Barrett Simmons; great-granddaughter, Amelia Jones; sisters, Joyce (Levoyd) Taylor, Kay Naron, Annie Pearl Thomas, and Brenda (Wayne) Bradford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
