Bill Thomison, 81, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at his residence. 

Graveside services were held Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating.

Bill was born on Jan. 27, 1943, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late Jack B. Thomison and Imogene Hawkins Thomison. Growing up he attended Robert E Lee School and was a 1961 graduate of Central High School. Bill earned his chemical engineering degree in 1965 from Tennessee Tech. He worked as a chemical engineer with Dow Chemical for four years in Midland, Michigan, then with the Tennessee Valley Authority Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant in Athens, Alabama for 28 and a half years. Later, he worked for the Morgan County, Alabama EMA for 12 years. Bill was a Boy Scout in high school and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Bill enjoyed canoeing, camping, and other outdoor activities. He was a member of the Fayetteville Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betsy Thomison; three children; two grandchildren; and brother, Jack and his wife Nancy Thomison and their family.
