Nettie Joe McPherson, 92, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at Donaldson Care Center. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on May 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Marion Wilson and Jewel Laten Bankston. Mrs. McPherson worked as a textile worker for Elk Yarn Mill and attended Lincoln Baptist Church.

In addition to parents, Mrs. McPherson is preceded in death by husband, J.W. McPherson; sister, Octavia Owens; and brother, Marion Bankston Jr.

Mrs. McPherson is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Larry) Hollis; son, Wayne (Lou) McPherson; sister, Patricia (Erskine) Drake; brother, Rodney (Dixie) Bankston; grandchildren, Larry (Cathy) McPherson, Bobbie (Adam) Reese; great-grandchildren, Waylon Reese, Garrett Reese, Jason Self, Casey Self, Torie Webster; and great-great-grandchildren, McKinna Self, Will Self, Ty Webster, Elyza Webster.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at Prospect Cemetery with Bro. Erskine Drake officiating.
