Carl Thomas Hobbs Obituary

Carl Thomas Hobbs, 77, of Kelso, Tennessee, passed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2024, at Lynchburg Funeral Home followed by cremation.

A native of Wheelerton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late George Wesley and Flossie Mae Stanford Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was a farmer and was of the Church of God faith. He enjoyed playing music on his guitar, watching football and waking up to his morning cup of coffee.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Irene Sawyers, Elaine Posey, Georgia Walker, Louise Porch, Maggie Mitchell, Violet McKin, Joanne Fears; brothers, John Hobbs and Robert Hobbs.

Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hobbs of Kelso, Tennessee; children, Jimmy (Tonya) Hobbs of Flintville, Tennessee, Chris Hobbs; step-children, Terry (Mikael Hopwood) Lewter of Kelso, Tennessee, Kim (Jim) Goolsby of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Scotty (Katrina) Lewter of Hartford City, Indiana, Tammy (Scott) Williamson of Fayetteville, Tennessee; sister, Emma Jean  (Reed) McKin; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and 13-step-great-grandchildren.

Lynchburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is assisting the family.
