Lillian C. Posey departed this world on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Dec. 29, 1931, to the late Sidney and Grace Crawford in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Mrs. Posey was a hard worker and never met a stranger. She was a retired insurance salesperson and cattle farmer. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Posey is survived by her sons, Alan (Daphne) Posey, Richard (Sandra) Posey; daughter-in-law, Missy Posey; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Crawford and David (Barbara) Crawford; sisters, Carolyn McInnis and Patricia Moyers; brother-in-law, Jerry Posey; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Crawford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Posey was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Almon Posey; son, Mark Posey; grandsons, Andy Posey and Clay Posey; brothers, Johnson Crawford, William Crawford; sisters, Louise Pitts, Virginia McClanahan, and Mildred Dunn; and special friend, Bea Roper.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Burial followed in Macedonia Cemetery.
