Johnnie Preston Marr, 60, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on July 28, 1963, son of the late J.W. and Estell Hasty Marr.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Mary Bevels and Margaret Ann Marr; brothers, James Marr and Jerry Marr Sr.; and special nephew, Jamie Casteel.

Mr. Marr is survived by his sisters, Jane Hentz, Faye Wagner and Marsha Jett (Lee Jones); brothers, Jim Boe Marr and Jimmie (Donna) Marr; special nieces, Felicia Sumner, Lisa Swing and Brenda Marr; and many other nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant–Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Moore and Jimmie Marr officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday.
